威廉·Edward Perkins (1838-1879) was the son of 波士顿 merchant William Perkins (1804-1887) and Catherine Callender (Amory) Perkins (1838-1883). He had three siblings: 詹姆斯 Amory Perkins (1836-1863); Helen A. Perkins, who married Dr. John Homans; and Robert Shaw Perkins (1842-1873). All three brothers were graduates of Harvard 科尔ege, and two served in the Civil War. 詹姆斯 Amory Perkins was a member of the 24th Massachusetts Infantry and was killed at Morris Island, South Carolina, in August of 1863. William served with the Forty-fourth and Second Massachusetts 步兵团. After the war, William became a lawyer and served three terms on 波士顿's Common Council (1871-1873) and two in the Massachusetts House of Representatives (1874-1875).

Black, and Antoine Sonrel of 波士顿, among many others. The collection also includes a 锡版照相法(照片. 267.67) of four unidentified men, members of the 2nd Regiment.
